The hotel has a cozy feel with a beautifully renovated bathroom and a charming front balcony. The coffee served is top-notch, and the cake is always fresh, creating a lovely ambiance. However, the morning chill can be a drawback, and sometimes you may need to turn off the heating.

The 4 poster King Bed adds character to the room. The fully renovated bathroom is a nice touch, and having access to the front balcony is a bonus.
Service

The staff is professional and friendly, striking a good balance. They are capable and courteous, always ready to assist. However, there was a minor incident where a misunderstanding needed clarification.

The hotel is perfectly situated in the center of Ballarat, offering convenience to explore the town. However, there may be a faint smell of cigarette smoke around.

The dining experience was delightful with delicious fully cooked meals. The service was on point, though it might not be the fastest. The ambience was lovely.

My stay at the hotel was a delightful experience. The rooms were cute and spotless, and the dining room and bar were beautiful. However, there was a slight issue at check-in with a staff member seeming overwhelmed with their workload.

The service was top-notch, with consistently skilled, friendly, and professional staff. They were very helpful and welcoming, although there seemed to be an obsession with garlic noted during my stay.

I had a fantastic High Tea experience and the staff showed exceptional care towards my autistic son. The room size was a bit small and boxy despite booking a superior room with a spa. The hotel had a neglected feel with mismatched decor and aged service trolleys.

The hotel's stunning glass ceiling and tasteful renovation contribute to its charm. It's centrally located in the heart of Ballarat CBD near great shops and cinema.
Dining

The breakfast was a bit cold and disappointing, not living up to the grandeur of the historic hotel. The cafe menu was ordinary, missing the mark.
Facilities

The hotel's corner bar was an offensive space under an old staircase, which was a downside to an otherwise great location.

The hotel offers tastefully furnished rooms that match the 'classic room' photos, but the elevator is old and creaky. The service was outstanding, from valet parking to restaurant staff, although Andrew's garlic obsession was noticeable. The location is a mix of nightmare and greatness, as it requires an extension cable but is conveniently close to shops, cinema, and historic buildings. The dining experience was high quality but not value for money in relation to room rates. Overall, a mixed bag of experiences with some notable highlights and quirks.

The rooms were furnished very tastefully according to the era and looked identical to the 'classic room' photos, despite expecting more for the money. The cracking old elevator was a downside.
Service
8.0
The service was excellent overall, from valet parking to house staff and restaurant waiters. Andrew's garlic obsession added a unique touch, although the place felt almost empty.
Location

The location was great, with easy walking distance to the main CBD shopping and eateries, but the need for an extension cable marred the experience slightly.
Dining
7.0
The dining experience was high-quality and served in a pleasant atrium area. However, the value for money was under question given the room rate.
Facilities

The pleasant atrium area added to the dining experience, but the value for money was not ideal in relation to room rates.
